BSides Newcastle is the weirdest InfoSec event out there, for our first event was a 1 day event in a skate park and had a blast even though it was frozen, 2020 we went virtual with a 2 day event covering 4 continents, and 2021 we went hybrid offering both the coverage and the opportunity for live events again.
This year we plan on running again as a hybrid conference with one track streamed live on our IRL stage and one streaming live via our Virtual stage on gather.town .
This years swag plans will include a return of the BSidesNcl preserves and maybe a northern treat or two.

Rather than list requirements and specify a theme I leave this relatively open, community interest and well-being all the way to demonstrations of your latest tools to advanced mathematical proofs on encryption to robots AI and why we all love our future overlords of humanity to lock-picking and breaking in to the industry we really like to keep an open view on submissions.
