The GoWest Conference was created with two main goals:
To highlight the local talent and expertise in engineering with the Go programming language.
To bring world-renowned Go speakers to the area.
This conference is meant to service the Rocky Mountain West area (Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Idaho). All are welcomed to attend and get to know the talented developers & amazing companies we have in the area. We are planning a hybrid conference. This means we will have attendees at a physical location as well as online. We will allow both remote and in-person speakers. For in person attendees and speakers we will have protocols in place to keep everyone in attendance safe from COVID-19.
Length: 45 min Level: Any Content: We require all talks to be technical in nature and be relating to the Go programming language, projects written in the Go programming language, using the Go programing language, etc.
Advice for authors
Proposals will be reviewed based on the selection criteria below. Please demonstrate as best as you can that your proposal meets the criteria so our reviewers feel confident about recommending it.
The selection criteria:
Relevance. The topic is relevant to the Go community. This is not a general software conference, our audience wants to hear about topics that relate to the Go programming language.
Clarity. You’ve clearly explained your topic.
Correctness. You’ve demonstrated thorough knowledge of your topic. You don’t have to be an expert, but you are expected to be speaking from experience.
Impact. The goal. What new idea, technique, tool, or information will the audience leave your presentation with?
