LuaConf is an international one day conference focused on the Lua programming language. Our goal is to facilitate networking, learning and discussions among professionals and students who are interested in the Lua programming language. In this way, we hope to promote and propagate the use of Lua as we understand that communication and communities are an essential part in getting people excited and making things happen.
Last year we had talks on: programming language design, game development, web development, machine learning, an artistic presentation with algorithmic music, among other topics.
CFP Description
We invite you to submit talks to LuaConf 2017. All topics Lua-related are welcome. Talks can be either in Portuguese or English. Talks will be 30 minutes long + 5 minutes of Q&A. Lightning talks of 10 minutes can be submitted and voted during LuaConf. All talks will be recorded and published on the internet for free on youtube. If you need help, we can advise for preparing your talk and help you rehearse, please get in touch. For the moment we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cover speakers’ travel, accommodation or childcare, but if you are not financially able to get to Rio, please still submit your abstract, we are connecting with sponsors to make everything awesome. If your company is able to pay for your travel, please get in touch and we will kindly list them at the list of sponsors.
