Welcome to the Call for Speakers for php[tek] 2018, the premier PHP conference and annual homecoming for the PHP Community. We are the longest running conference dedicated to the PHP community in the USA! (We are tied with one in the UK) This conference will be our 13th annual, and php[architect] and One for All Events are excited to continue to host the event in Atlanta! We lost the venue we used last year (it’s now runway #5 for the airport), but we are excited to have found an amazing partner in the downtown Sheraton where we will host the event this year.

The conference will take place on May 31st & June 1st (Thursday & Friday), with an optional workshop day on Wednesday the 30th as well as offering a few full-day training classes on Tuesday the 29th.

CFP Description

This year we hope for a broad range of topics to share with our attendees. Besides core PHP matters such as PHP7, security, testing, and frameworks, we want talks on the technologies crucial to modern Web development as well as HTML5, JavaScript, mobile development, and emerging technologies. We also welcome non-technical proposals that will appeal to a developer audience.

We heartily suggest that you submit more than one proposal. Most speakers will be asked to present two talks due to budget. Therefore the more submissions you make, the higher your chances of being accepted. Make sure your talk title and description clearly define what attendees will learn in your session. Use your own voice and express yourself to us personally, and we give precedence to presentations that haven’t been given before.
