The 2019 SAM International Management Conference is the annual event hosted by the Society for Advancement of Management. SAMIMC2019 is an international conference that provides a platform for academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students to present their quality research.

Hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Airport on March 27 - March 30, 2019, the conference allows faculty, students, and practitioners an opportunity to participate in innovative discussions on the future of management.

2019 CALL FOR PAPERS The 2019 SAM International Management Conference is the annual event hosted by the Society for Advancement of Management. SAMIMC2019 is an international conference that provides a platform for academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students to present their quality research. Submission Tracks The Society for Advancement of Management invites you to submit your academic work to one of our different tracks: Track 1: Scholarly Research Presentations in this track will focus on one of the following three areas of scholarship: 1. Basic or discovery scholarship that generates and communicates new knowledge and understanding and/or development of new methods. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the theory, knowledge, and/or practice of business. 2. Applied or Integration/application scholarship that synthesizes new understandings or interpretations of knowledge or technology; develops new technologies, processes, tools, or uses; and/or refines, develops, or advances new methods based on existing knowledge. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the practice of business. 3. Teaching and learning scholarship that develops and advances new understandings, insights, and teaching content and methods that impact learning behavior. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the teaching of business (AACSB 2013 Accreditation Standards). Track 2: Student Research This track is limited to research presentations of student work both graduate and undergraduate with a focus on one of the following three areas of scholarship: 1. Basic or discovery scholarship that generates and communicates new knowledge and understanding and/or development of new methods. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the theory, knowledge, and/or practice of business. 2. Applied or Integration/application scholarship that synthesizes new understandings or interpretations of knowledge or technology; develops new technologies, processes, tools, or uses; and/or refines, develops, or advances new methods based on existing knowledge. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the practice of business. 3. Teaching and learning scholarship that develops and advances new understandings, insights, and teaching content and methods that impact learning behavior. Intellectual contributions in this category are normally intended to impact the teaching of business (AACSB 2013 Accreditation Standards). * Joint Faculty and Student research should be directed to the Faculty/Student Research track. Track 3: Faculty/Student Research This track is limited to research presentations that are joint Faculty and Student research. However, the majority or preferably all the presentation will be done by the student. Research in this track will focus on the same scholarship areas as in the Scholarly Research track. Track 4: Practitioner Research and Presentations Two options are available for practitioners: The first option is for presentations that provide a real-world perspective on management issues within organizations and will be targeted at providing members of SAM a view of these management issues from the practitioner perspective. The second option is the presentation of case studies that focus on contemporary, real-world management issues. Track 5: Symposium, Workshop, and Panels We invite those interested to submit a proposal for a workshop in either panel or presentation format. These sessions should focus on an area in our Research Concentration section and provide an added value for our conference attendees. Workshops are provided exclusive programming time separate from other presentations and we encourage panel style sessions to include participation from various disciplines and organizations.

Submission Process For the 2019 Conference, we will be using an automated manuscript submission and review system called EasyChair. Papers sent via email will not be reviewed. To submit your paper or abstract, please click on the following link and follow the easy steps to register and submit your paper: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=samimc2019 For Full Papers 1. Competitive papers should be typed, double-spaced, and not more than 20 typewritten pages, not including references and tables. 2. The main body of the paper should have a title page with an abstract of no more than 200 words. Do not include the author’s names on the title page, as papers are double-blind reviewed. 3. Papers must be submitted using APA Style. 4. For papers with multiple authors, at least one author for each accepted paper will be expected to register and personally appear to present the research. 5. The 2019 Conference Proceedings will adhere to an abridged summary for those papers selected for inclusion. Authors selected will be advised of the necessary length and details. For Posters 1. A poster presentation submission should have a title page with an abstract of no more than 200 words. Do not include the author’s names on the title page, as posters will be double-blind reviewed. 2. Submission of the actual poster is not required during the selection process. 3. A poster presentation should be unique and not a presentation or summary of a published work. 4. For posters with multiple authors, at least one author for each accepted poster will be expected to register and personally appear to present the research. 5. If accepted, posters are permitted up to 50″ in width and 50″ in length For Symposium, Workshop & Panels 1. The submission must include an abstract that includes the target audience, proposed format (symposium, workshop, or panel), required technology, a statement of value added, and description of the expertise of the presenter (and guests). 2. The proposal must broadly describe the basic components of the session, as well as a general outline of the content for each component. 3. For proposals with multiple authors and or presenters, at least one author for each accepted session will be expected to register and personally appear to facilitate. For ALL Submissions Submissions are limited to a maximum of three per individual author/presenter.

Submission Evaluations Competitive papers or abstracts will be double-blind reviewed. Paper length should not exceed 20 typewritten, double-spaced pages. Manuscripts must follow the APA Style. Abstracts should include a title, authors, objective, outline, methodology, and importance. Author identification, including complete mailing address, e-mail, and telephone number, should appear in the EasyChair submission. Authors should not identify themselves elsewhere in the paper. Please state on the front page: “Paper for the 2019 Conference.” A non-refundable conference registration fee is due and payable within two weeks after notification of acceptance. Authors who have abstracts accepted are required to submit their paper(s) by February 15, 2019. All final copy ready papers are due by March 1, 2019. Publication Options The final version of the papers selected and presented must be sent by May 1, 2019, to be published in the 2019 SAM Conference Proceedings and be considered for publication in SAM Advanced Management Journal.
