Andrew W. Phillips

Andrew started programming in C in the late 70’s at Sydney Uni. and worked with C++ for more than 27 years until he started using Go. He has written several articles for the C/C++ Users Journal. He has also used Fortran, Pascal, Modula2, Occam, Algol, PL/1, Lisp, Assembler (various), Prolog, BASIC, Cobol, Forth, Ada, Java, Python, Delphi, C#, Javascript/Typescript, Rust and probably others (forgotten).

Andrew tried Go in 2014 but was not convinced but in 2017 he had to use Go professionally and realised he had been initially superficial and stupid. He believes that keeping things simple is the most important thing and that Go does that much much better than any other language he has used.
