Bio

I’m Hanhan, the co-founder of PressDB, an exploratory writing engine that empowers people to research and write better and faster. I graduated with a dual masters’ degree in Journalism and Statistics from Columbia University in 2018.

I have been fascinated about the graph world ever since my graduate study at Columbia University, where I had the opportunity to participate in Panama Papers project with ICIJ (I used Neo4J to map out influencers), and the MINDS Innovation Challenge where my team won the top prize for inventing a system to repurpose archive content (we implemented it at Press Association, a member of MINDS).

This year, I also had the fortunate opportunity to organize the 1st Columbia Knowledge Graph conference ( with Francois Scharffe), and now I am working towards KGC 2020, with more content creation and community initiatives around graph knowledge and technology.

From these experiences, I have come to see a promising field where news and knowledge graphs could intersect to optimize content discovery and creation, and I would like share these insights with the GraphConnect community.
