To get clean water, you need safe pipes: Building Trust in your CD Pipeline

By Baruch Sadogursky

Elevator Pitch

While Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery are closely related, they are not identical. In this talk we are going to talk about what have we learned from the evolution of continuous integration and how can we avoid relying on outdated infrastructure for the last mile?

Description

Continuous Integration revolutionized software development in the last decade. Continuous Delivery looks clear to revolutionize it in this one. While these two problem sets are closely related, they are not identical, and continuous deployment has not yet reached the maturity level of continuous integration. We will talk about the evolution of continuous Delivery pipelines. Where were we before? Where are we now? Where are we going? What have we learned from the evolution of continuous integration that helps us now? And how can we avoid poisoning ourselves by relying on outdated infrastructure for the last mile?

Notes

We see this a lot – companies know how do to CI but not sure about CD. Let’s fix that.
