In its 13th year, SpiceWorld brings together 1500+ IT pros and hundreds of tech vendors at the Austin Convention Center, for 3 jam-packed days of tech learning and fun. SpiceWorld continues to focus on connecting IT attendees with the tools, content, and people to help them excel in their jobs.

If you’re an IT pro or tech expert with a desire to present your successful IT strategies, cutting-edge technologies, or helpful solutions, we invite you to submit to speak at SpiceWorld! IT pros at SpiceWorld are eager to learn practical tips to help them be the IT super heroes within their organizations.

CFP Description

Note: SpiceWorld is not your typical stodgy tech conference. Speakers are encouraged to add their own flare to presentations! We’ve seen presenters wear anything from a bacon suit to an inflatable t-rex costume. So long as your content provides solid solutions to IT pros, we don’t mind what you wear…or the number of funny cat memes used in your presentation. Be yourself, our audience appreciates that.

Who’s the Audience? IT operations audience including system administrators, help desk technicians, and network engineers. Session Categories/Topics To help attendees navigate all the great content at SpiceWorld, submitted sessions should fall into one of the categories below:

  1. Scripting and Automation
  2. Systems Management
  3. Infrastructure (storage, networking, servers, and software)
  4. IT Security
  5. Cloud
  6. Soft Skills for IT Pros
  7. Policies, Procedures, and Best Practices

Session Format Sessions are an hour long: 45 minutes of presentation, 10 minutes of Q&A, and 5 minutes of “wiggle” room. Eighty percent of sessions will have 1 or 2 speakers presenting.

Tips for Success Make sure your presentation adds value. Include the key learnings attendees will take away from your session. Keep it vendor neutral. It’s fine to talk about specific products, but Spiceworks will disqualify any product or vendor pitch. Get specific. Clearly define the concepts and ideas in your submission, explain the problem and the solution(s) you’re offering, as well as any important details.
