We are looking for unique speakers/performers with Ideas Worth Sharing. Applicants must be able to convey one Big Idea or new information with passion, persuasiveness, and authority.
The primary goal of a TEDx Talk is to communicate ideas worth spreading. Successful TEDxGrand Junction talks teach, entertain, make us think, make us laugh, cry or inspire action – all through the sharing of ideas.
In the past, speakers shared ideas about sustainable healthcare, election reform, giving away software, community suicide failures, film making. Performances have included artist demonstrations, spoken word artists, song writers and singers. Applicants should have something truly important or unique to share, and should be able to challenge the audience to “Reimagine” something in a new way within 5-18 minute time block.
TEDxGrand Junction speakers are not paid. Speakers may not promote their own products, books, or businesses, or those of a company that employs them during their TEDxGrand Junction talk.
Thank you and Good Luck in your TEDxGrand Junction application!
