CALL FOR SPEAKERS CLOSES 11/23/18

Ohio’s Women in Analytics Conference brings together professionals, entrepreneurs, and academia to discuss the latest technologies, strategies, and methodologies proven to be successful in the analytics field while showcasing as speakers the women who have helped develop and execute them. Our goal is to provide visibility to the women making an incredible impact in the analytics space and invite anyone that can benefit by learning from their experiences to join us.

This year’s day-and-a-half conference features industry and academic thought leaders, presentations, panel discussions, and workshops as well as networking opportunities for attendees and sponsors. While all WIA presenters are women, all genders are encouraged to attend and benefit from shared knowledge.

We will cover a broad range of topics including machine learning, data strategy, IoT, data ethics, the basics and potential IT risks of AI, career paths in analytics, how to interview data scientists and build analytics teams, developing use cases, creating systems for data capture, data storage/ management, Enterprise analytics, deploying and improving models in an Agile way, storytelling with data, migrating analytics to the cloud, social network and media analysis, and cybersecurity analytics.

This year, WIA is hosting an Artificial Intelligence Product Showcase. during the conference reception. We are bringing together companies from all over the US to join us in Columbus and demonstrate their product capabilities in building and utilizing AI.

The 2019 WIA Data Viz Competition is an opportunity to showcase your data-driven artistic skills! We are displaying the top 5 finalists at our “Data Gallery” during the conference. Submissions may include everything from Tableau Dashboards and Shiny apps to maps, 3D visualizations, graphs, sculptures, drawings, and more. Submissions may be digital or physical but must be mobile and displayable in an indoor space. You do not have to be a woman to apply!
