CommCon 2019

After the success of the first ever CommCon last year; it’s back! CommCon’s second year will be held at Latimer Estate just outside of London in the UK. CommCon attendees will not only discover why this is such a different event to all the others in this industry, but will also learn from some of the leading minds in VoIP and WebRTC.

CommCon will be held from July the 7th until the 11th and follow the same format as last year. You’ll arrive late on the Sunday, have dinner with everyone, enjoy some activities and then the three day conference starts on the Monday with pre planned activities every night. Your food is all included in your ticket. The conference ends on the Wednesday evening but you have accommodation until Thursday morning so that everyone can enjoy one last evening together - whether thats at the bar or playing lawn games.

CommCon is the only Open Source RTC conference in the UK. CommCon is organised by the community for the community. Last year we had an amazing time at Wotton House - come join us for another brilliant conference with a difference.

CFP Description

CommCon 2019 Call For Papers Guide

  • No commercialised talks - only the best content from the best speakers in the world.
  • Open-source software and hardware talks prioritised
  • Practical Workshops

Talks

What’s happened in the past year? You can submit a talk on anything and everything. We want to know about everything that others would find interesting - be it Google and an update on WebRTC or a small business using a small open source project to make real change.

Workshops

Workshops must be practical, and have a physical element to them - whether thats learning how to use the Asterisk Rest Interface (ARI) or whether thats building robots that you drive around the floor. Make the session fun and everyone will remember it for years to come!

Lightning talks

Lightning talks are perfect for that thing you’d love to talk to a crowd about but might not have enough to fill a 40 minute slot; or maybe you’re new to speaking and want to build up your confidence. This will be the first time we’ve done lightning talks and we’d love to hear more about what you’re all up to!
