CFP Description

This is your opportunity to speak on our annual DevFest - the GDG developer conference. On September 9.-10. we, the Google Developer Group Düsseldorf, will be holding DevFest 2017 at the offices of our Sponsor’s sipgate.

Share your Knowledge and Experience

We are a casual community interested in exchanging experiences and knowledge around Google technologies like Web, Cloud, Android and Machine Learning. Share your knowledge, experience and code with other developers so we can all learn together.

Talks should be around 30-45 Minutes. While our focus is on Google technologies, we are not siloed to that. So please submit whatever you think that could be exciting to the community. Your creativity is welcome!

Why?

We are a welcoming and inclusive community. You’ll find a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Our events are always great fun and it is very likely that you’ll find apart from a lot of inspiration also some new friends sharing your passion for technology. We especially want speakers from underrepresented groups - don’t be shy, everyone has a story to tell and knowledge to share.

Tips for Submitting

Think carefully about what you want to talk about, and what value the conference attendees will get from attending your talk. Provide a clear description that describes the value, and ensure that the key takeaways are well defined. Get the timing right. 30 to 45 minutes is a long time to keep an audience entertained and informed. Sell us your idea! Your talk doesn’t have to be finished yet, make sure you sell us the idea.
