Quality over quantity
We care more about original, thoughtful content than just filling slots.
If you have something genuinely useful or interesting to share, we’d love to have you as a speaker.
Sales pitches
It’s totally fine to highlight your product, framework, or service.
But straight-up sales pitches—especially reused ones—won’t make the cut.
Inclusivity
We welcome speakers from every background and experience level.
If you’d like to speak but need support or accommodations, let us know. We’ll do what we can to help.
Be nice!
We won’t publish anything offensive or disrespectful.
We’re here to learn, share, and have fun, let’s keep it that way.
CFP Description
Please read the description below carefully!
Is DevOps dead? Was it ever really alive? Is it a real practice, or just cultural guesswork? Is it still relevant?
Welcome to DevOps Not Dead, a conference created to explore these questions in a fun and unusual way. Think Tech conference meets Dungeons and Dragons tabletop RPG adventure. Join us on March 13th 2026 in London, UK!
What this conference is about
First, here is a scene that inspires the theme:
As Madam DevOps strode into the tavern, she beheld a knot of shadowed figures gathered round the hearthstone. There stood Sir SRE, a steadfast paladin bearing a hammer and a shield of uncommon breadth; beside him lingered a Platform Engineer, a nimble and quick-witted goblin with a bag of Y’AML runes; and near the flames waited the Cloud Engineer, a magician he who keeps the kindred spirits of the Azure realms in gentle accord.
Our conference uses fantasy elements like this one to bring a fresh twist to the world of DevOps. Think of it as a normal tech conference mixed with Dungeons and Dragons vibes.
You can expect:
- Fun fantasy decorations
- Simple costumes you can try on
- Themed stickers, cards and other unusual trinkets to take home
We want to keep things enjoyable while still sharing real technical knowledge. So you will see:
- Serious talks about today’s DevOps world, including tools, culture, challenges and the future
- Interactive and playful activities, such as our Battle discussions, where people can share their journeys in a dynamic, fun way
We’ll accept normal, regular sessions, but also…
When submitting your session, you will see a talk type called Bring me to battle !. Choose this if you want to join extra interactive games and conversations besides your regular talk.
Please watch the CFP tips and tricks video - 5 minutes. It will increase your chances of having your talk accepted.
Am I the right speaker for this?
We want people from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. not only strictly DevOps people but also folks who work on ops, cloud, reliabilty and security in a broader scope. We’re happy to accept a wide variety of sessions as long as they stay within the main conference themes. If you’d like to bounce some ideas off of us - reach out to mark@devopsnotdead.com !
