Dublin Is… is taking place in Dublin on the 8-9 March, 2018 (Thursday and Friday) and is a welcoming, community oriented and organised conference. We encourage first-time speakers and presenters.

THIS IS THE SECOND AND FINAL ROUND OF THE CALL FOR PAPERS. We have a limited number of speaking slots to fill, so make it good! :-)

We are looking for projects, initiatives, companies, and communities born or cultivated in Ireland, and in all stages of development, who are making an impact in the world of tech.

We want to hear from people with as many different points of view and backgrounds as possible. Regardless of your level of experience, education or professional background, we want to hear what interesting things you’ve been doing in tech in Ireland!

CFP Description

Our theme is broad: Dublin Is … Past | Present | Future We aim to showcase Irish companies

We will have 3 technical tracks and 1 non-technical track.

Keep in mind “technical” can be very broad: programmers, product people, CEOs, COOs, customer service reps – everyone is welcome to submit.

Let’s show the world what Ireland has accomplished already, what Ireland is working on today and what we’ve got coming up!

We’re looking for storytellers, technology lovers, hidden, untold stories of Irish tech. Not sure if your story is a fit? It probably is :) Please just submit. We’d love to hear from you, and we’re happy to help shape your talk with you.

Some things on our mind to hear about: ** note the list is far from exhaustive. Just some starting points for you to think about talking about:

  • Open source

  • Setting up in Ireland

  • Finance, capital, venture capital(ists), funding, fundraising - in the context of the tech sphere

  • All computer languages and technologies

  • Startups - we are not accepting promo talks but would be super happy to hear about your successes and/or challenges and how Ireland has shaped your journey

  • Scaleups - tell us how you got over the hump, the successes and challenges you’re facing now, anything else you think is cool

  • Inspirational awesome stories

  • Sales, marketing, social media

  • How-to: speak, present, write a blog, etc. (generally up your professional game)
