Ethereal is a global series of conferences focused on connecting leading developers, founders, startups, investors, and creatives shaping the future of Ethereum and blockchain.
The Ethereal Summit covers the critical way Ethereum can revolutionize the world. Where a decentralized, more efficient, and democratized world enables humanity to move with a shared purpose. Our content is insightful, inspiring, and purposeful. In previous years, we have welcomed over 300 top speakers and experts in their respective field, from the Ethereum ecosystem and even Fortune 500 companies. Our speakers are carefully curated and cover a myriad of topics relevant in our world today including but not limited to:
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) applications
- Blockchain in emerging markets
- The impact of NFTs in the arts and gaming
- Research and development into scaling Ethereum 2.0
- Enterprise blockchain innovations

CFP Description
Our goal is to bring to life inspirational storytelling in the Ethereum community. We do this by showcasing new ideas and insights that are helpful to others developing, building, researching, and using applications on Ethereum. Our 3 tracks for Ethereal New York this year are Scaling, Applications, and Enterprise. Below you can learn more about each.
Scaling
2020 will be the year of Ethereum 2.0. With multiple Eth2 clients running on testnets, there’s lots to discuss about cutting edge research that’s bringing the EVM to its fullest realization. Learn from the leading Eth2 research and development teams and understand how this affects the future roadmap driving our community forward. We will also discuss the economics, incentives, and staking at the foundation of transitioning to Proof-of-Stake.
Applications
2019 was the year of DeFi. We’ve seen an explosion of products, protocols, and tools come to market to bring decentralized finance to life with real adoption. As of December 2019, $660M in value is locked in DeFi apps and protocols. We will hear from the successes, failures, and lessons learned by the those deploying the leading dapps, wallets, DEXs, aggregators, and protocols enabling the future of Ethereum-powered finance.
Enterprise
The enterprise is no longer a buzzword. The leading companies in the world are either implementing a blockchain-powered solution or investigating how they can benefit from one. Banking, financial services, supply chain, government, healthcare, and media/entertainment all look to be be transformed in the coming decades by disruptive innovation in our space. Come learn from the early adopters and forward thinkers championing enterprises blockchains.
What You Need to Submit
- Pitch us a talk title and up to 250-word description of what you aim to cover. (Less is more. We prefer 240 characters or less.)
- Focus on why your story matters to the Ethereum community and how your insights / story would benefit attendees. (100 words or less)
- Why would you like to speak at Ethereal? (100 words or less)
Deadlines
- Submit your speaker application before February 1st.
- You will receive notification whether you've been chosen to speak by February 7th.
