I'm Attending!August 18, 2020August 18, 2020ServerlessDays Sydney 2020UTCServerless is a recent addition to the long list of technologies that promise to accelerate software delivery, reduce cost of compute ownership and provide unicorns and rainbows for all. And like all industry buzzwords it generates enthusiasm and scepticism in equal measure – how to move beyond the hype?
ServerlessDays started life as JeffConf, a tongue in cheek conference in the spirit of Paul Johnston’s blog post, “Serverless is just a name. We could have called it Jeff”, an attempt to move beyond the Serverless buzzword and focus on the practical use of function as a service platforms and the value they provide. It is a one day, community focused, single track event centred on real world Serverless based solutions. It’s about fostering a community and helping all of us learn from each other as we embrace a new way of building applications.
ServerlessDays Sydney is the second edition in Australia, we look to build on the success of the previous ServerlessDays events in other cities. Our focus is on building a community through sharing of experiences, accessible without a large commitment of time or money (tickets start from just $79).Sydney, Australia

Bangalore Monitoring and Observability Meetup is a free and volunteer organized monthly observability meetup focused on the three pillars of observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), Raw Event model, APMs, Anomaly Detection and all developments associated with the field of practical and theoretical observability of complex and distributed systems.
We have [GrafanaLabs](https://grafana.com/) as our core sponsors, who are not only going to sponsor the stickers and goodies, but also would be providing us deep insight into the world of observability through regular speakers who are involved actively with various open source projects around observability.
We have [Richard Hartmann](https://twitter.com/TwitchiH) and [Goutham V](https://twitter.com/putadent) from [Grafana](https://grafana.com/) to thank for the idea and support for making this happen.
If you are a new speaker and would appreciate mentorship post acceptance of your talk, Zainab Bawa from [hasgeek.com](hasgeek.com) has very kindly offered to help. Given her vast experience in organizing a mutitude of events for hasgeek, this is a great opportunity.
