CFP Description

Submission Information

Who should submit?

LAKC looks for diversity in speakers. We seek to have a mix of local, regional and national speakers to provide different perspectives. We also try to look for a mix of seasoned speakers and to include new voices. If you are interested in speaking, but have not done so at this type of conference, we may be able to find a mentor for you - email info@leanagilekc.org for more information.

What topics are we looking for?

Please submit anything Agile or Lean related. Feel free to create an idea of your own, but here are some suggested categories: Agile Bootcamp, Collaboration/Culture/Teams, Coaching/Mentoring, Development Practices and Craftsmanship, DevOps, Enterprise Agile, Management/Leaderships, Metrics/Analytics, Project/Program/Portfolio Management, Testing and Quality, User Experience.

What information are we looking for on the submission?

Please check out this example of a submission to the Agile 2016 conference. It provides very good insight into the real essence of the talk, which is invaluable to the selection committee. (MVA_samplesubmission)

Who is the audience?

The majority of our audience is mostly from the greater Kansas City area, although we have had many attendees from locations in Missouri/Kansas. The audience ranges from beginner to experienced, and across all the roles impacted by business agility.

What are the benefits of speaking?

Lean Agile KC’s primary purpose is to create a community rich in knowledge sharing. Your greatest contribution is exactly that! But wait, there’s more!

  • Free Admission - Enjoy the keynotes, other talks and open spaces!
  • Speaker Dinner - We like to take our speakers out, let them mingle and get to know each other </ul>
