Since 2011, the Scala meetups in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia have hosted a community-driven Scala conference. The conference rotates between each city, and this year it is at the The Science History Institute in Phildelphia, PA. As we have since 2016, this year we will share the conference space with our friends at Typelevel.

Here is the schedule for this year:

  • April 1st: Typelevel Summit
  • April 2nd: NE Scala Proper
  • April 3rd: Unconference

This proposal submission is specifically for NE Scala proper on Tuesday, April 2nd.

Once the CFP closes, we’ll open up voting. To improve speaker diversity, talk abstracts will be anonymized, so that new speakers get a fair shot. If you’d like advance feedback on your talk, members of the conference committee are available to help you rehearse.

Yes, that’s right! The talks are proposed by you, selected by you, and given by you. The attendees make NE Scala!

CFP Description
