The UCF Information Security Office is opening a Call for Proposals (CFP) for UCF students to share their ideas that address fresh topics and projects in cybersecurity to be included in PegaSec 2022. The CFP closes on ~~September 30th, 2022~~ October 13, 2022 at Midnight, Eastern Time. Notifications will be sent out around October 19, 2022. Notifications may be sent out sooner, so submit as early as possible!
This year’s PegaSec Expo will be in-person and will feature cybersecurity content tailored for members of the UCF community - both UCF students and employees are invited to attend. This will be a casual event, providing participants with an opportunity to hear from cybersecurity professionals, understand why information security is so important today, and learn how to protect their personal information.
This Call For Proposals (CFP) includes two types of presentations:
- Short form talks: 30-minute timeslot
- Long form talks: 60-minute timeslot
Suggested talk duration: 20-25 minutes, to allow for scheduling and audience questions Can be virtual or in-person. Great option for first time speakers!
Suggested talk duration: 50-55 minutes, to allow for scheduling and audience questions Can be virtual or in person. Offers more room for a more technical talk, or a live demo!
