Prairie Dev Con is back in Regina for 2023! This in person two-day software development conference brings technical experts from across North America to share their knowledge and expertise with the local software developer community. The conference schedules over 40 sessions covering a wide range of software development topics including technical, team organization/leadership, architecture and methodologies, diversity and inclusion, and career development.
TL;DR: We cover airfare and hotel for North American based speakers only. We also ask all out-of-town speakers submit at least 2 sessions.
What’s covered for speakers?
The conference covers airfare and hotel for selected speakers from within North America.
We do not provide travel coverage for people outside of North America at this time.
We also do a pretty epic speaker dinner as well. Speakers are given full access to all conference sessions and activities (we think this should be a given, but we understand not all conferences do this so we wanted to make it clear)
How long are sessions and how many?
Sessions are 60 min in length, typically lecture style with Q&A but we’re open to other ideas as well.
Out of town speakers are asked to do two presentations, and local speakers are asked to do one. Please submit at least two talks if you’re an out of town speaker.
What type of sessions are you looking for?
We look for a wide range of software development topics including technical, team organization/leadership, architecture and methodologies, diversity and inclusion, and career development.
What equipment are speakers responsible for?
Presenters are responsible for bringing their own laptop, but all other A/V equipment and internet will be provided.
