WHAT?

PRODUCTFEST RVA is a one-day conference dedicated to the celebration of the craft of product management right here in RVA. It’s a well kept secret that Richmond and the greater central Virginia area have an amazingly talented product community and this conference is our chance to put RVA on the map.

2023 will be the second year hosting ProductFEST RVA. V1 of this event was SOLD OUT in 2022 and we aspire to pass our ticket sales, sponsorships, and experiences in v2.

WHEN?

May 24, 2023 All Day Event

WHERE?

Dominion Energy Center, Richmond VA

ABOUT THE TEAM

ProductFest RVA is run by a diverse team of volunteer committee members in service of the Richmond Technology Council

CFP Description

We are anticipating large group keynote sessions and then multiple concurrent talks in separate tracks, at roughly 45 minutes each with ~5 planned session times throughout the day. If you would like to have Q&A time, please incorporate into the 45 minute session time allotted. We are interested in proposals related to any and all topics in product management - strategic frameworks, product/market fit, UX design, stakeholder management, data and experimentation tooling, leadership and culture, etc.

Our audience will be about 500 people with a broad range of product management exposure ranging from students to active practitioners to leadership.

One thing that makes this event extra special is our use of Silent Events headphones technologies to keep our participants in one room while hosting two or more breakout speakers. The vibrancy and sense of community that comes from staying together while engaging in multiple talk tracks was a huge hit last year - see pictures here:\ https://altamirafilmco.pixieset.com/rvatech-productfestrva/

WHO SHOULD SUBMIT?

Everyone is encouraged to submit a proposal. Our primary goal is to have excellent sessions that inform and engage our attendees. Thus, the speaker selection committee will be favoring speakers who have a record of delivering excellent talks, but we also understand that everyone has to start somewhere. If you are a first-time speaker, please make sure your proposal is compelling and communicates why you are the right person to deliver it.

We are hoping to have a speaker pool that is a balanced representation of our local product thought leaders and influential thinkers from elsewhere. We welcome submissions from anyone anywhere. If you have an idea for a session, please submit it!
