SaltConf17 is the fourth annual SaltStack user conference.
This is your opportunity to speak at SaltConf17 (www.saltconf.com), the annual SaltStack user conference. Selected talks will be scheduled on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 2-3 in Salt Lake City. Deadline for speaker submissions is Friday, July 21. We are looking for the best Salt Open and SaltStack Enterprise use cases and case studies. Additional direction on the content we are looking for is below. You can see talks from previous conferences on our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/SaltStack/playlists
Your submission doesn’t have to be perfect, if selected we’ll refine it with you. That said, we can’t and won’t be able to accept all talk proposals so make sure to submit your best soon as we will give preference to early submissions. We will also give preferential treatment to proposals promoted via social media using the hashtag #SaltConf17.
If a talk is accepted, speakers receive a complimentary SaltConf17 main conference pass. Travel and lodging expenses are not covered by SaltStack.
Talk content should be about 30 minutes but you will have 50 minutes total to accommodate introductions, demos, Q&A, etc. We are looking for SaltStack Enterprise and Salt Open case studies and use cases on the following topics: - Event-driven, autonomic systems management - Software-defined data center systems including networks and storage - Security vulnerability and policy audit, remediation and compliance - Container control and introspection - Complex, large-scale deployments or implementations - Cloud orchestration and control - Configuration management - DevOps orchestration and task automation - Competitive technology displacements or integrations - SaltStack performance or efficiency benchmarks - Unique and fringe SaltStack use cases (e.g. Proxy Minion; managing Internet of things; deploying serverless)
If you would rather not fill out this form, feel free to send the required information to SaltConf@SaltStack.com. Also, if your submission is accepted we assume we have your permission to promote your talk as part of the SaltConf17 program. If this is a problem, please let us know.
