Bio
Ajuma Ataguba is a global startup ecosystem leader, business consultant, with focus on social entrepreneurship, with over 30 years’ experience working in the sectors of technology, private equity, agriculture, education, and international trade. She has specialized skill in project management/turnkey projects, business planning, coaching, and entrepreneurship as well as a Cochran Fellow, Mashav Scholar and Swedish Institute Alumna. She is currently the Managing Director, of the Founder Institute (Abuja) and CEO of The Learning Gate.
She has provided business mentoring and coaching to a cohort of fashion technology entrepreneurs under the British Council, Creative Enterprise Support Programme. Until recently she was National Export Strategy Consultant at TFO Canada an organization that is the primary Canadian provider of information, advice and contact for businesses in developing and emerging countries that are interested in exporting to Canada.
So far more than 350 Women-owned SMEs in the Agriculture, Apparel and ICT sectors have been supported to develop product export strategies and raise funds in multiple rounds. Ajuma is a venture partner at a private equity firm and has successfully run accelerator programs for over 50 technology start-ups in varied sectors. She has certifications in Social Entrepreneurship from Wharton and Copenhagen Business School.
