Patterson Cake, GCFA, GNFA, GCFR, GPEN, GXPN, GWAPT, CISSP
Patterson has worked in information-technology for more than 20 years, with a focus on information-security for the past 10 years, specializing in the development of incident-response teams, programs, and processes. He is currently a DFIR Consultant for Black Hills Information Security. Prior to joining BHIS, he helped build a DFIR practice for an MSSP, worked as a Senior Security Engineer for AWS Managed Services, and was a Senior Consultant for Haven Information Security. He has extensive experience in information-security across multiple verticals, from non-profit healthcare to cloud-service providers to financial-service providers, teaches for SANS, is a member of the GIAC GPEN advisory board, and is actively involved in the information-security community.
