Hi, I’m Cameron de Bastos, a software engineer at BBD Software and a passionate sim racer who turned a lockdown hobby into a serious pursuit. Since 2020, I’ve competed in local and international sim racing events, represented South Africa on global virtual tracks, and even taken on some real-life racers in the virtual world. With nearly two decades of motorsport fandom, I’m here to share how cutting-edge sim racing tech is democratizing access to racing, turning everyday gamers into serious competitors.
