Salesforce Health Cloud was created for the new era of patient-focused healthcare built on HIPAA standards. Its goal is to leapfrog electronic medical records as the central patient record. It culls data from multiple sources,safely manage that info and boosts caregivers to deliver quality care.

Salesforce Health Cloud uses the power of the cloud, social and mobile technologies to create an environment that enables everyone from admins to patients to specialists to get the information they need at any time and on any device. It supports care management through a patient profile that integrates information from multiple data sources, including electronic medical records (EMRs), medical devices etc. It complies with regulations on storing sensitive protected health information using Platform Encryption and thereby respecting HIPAA compliance.

Salesforce Health Could puts the patient at the center of the care by giving caregivers core advantages: • See a complete view of the patient with integrated data from EMRs, wearables and more : - It allows easy access to the right patient information including current conditions and medications, appointment history and communication preferences. • Make smarter care decisions from a single console : - Rather than toggling between multiple systems, caregivers make smarter patient care decisions directly from the console by browsing tasks matched to individual patients and quickly acting upon them. • Engage with patients across their caregiver networks and on any device : - Health Cloud Empower Lightning components and the Customer Service (Napili) template can be used for a quick roll-out of a patient community, with easy customization using Community Builder. Private Patient Communities help patients view progress against a care plan, find answers quickly to common questions and connect with any provider in their network. Also, by extending Health Cloud to mobile platforms, providers can send messages to patients’ smartphones, reaching them where they live and work.
