Legacy code from day one

By Jakub Kozłowski

Elevator Pitch

I want to show some of the worst ideas you can have in a Scala project, e.g. reinventing the standard library or writing custom wrappers over everything. In a clearly satirical way. At the end, there’ll be a clear, honest summary clearing up the point of this talk.

Description

Reinventing the wheel, premature optimization, sabotaging the compiler, ignoring the type system - you name it.

I’ll talk about the benefits of writing more code and using the above techniques to make your projects even harder to work with. After listening to this talk, you’ll have perfect knowledge of how to get threats from the future maintainers of your code.

Notes

I just need a microphone and projector ;)
