Bio
Mark is an accomplished consultant and MongoDB enthusiast with over 20 years of experience in data architecture, analytics / business intelligence, data visualization and “big data”. Over the past few years, he has focused his efforts on MongoDB with experience in data modelling, cluster set-up, coding (node.js and ruby), MongoDB Atlas, performance tuning and education. He has worked on both small and large (1b+ document collections, 3k+ transactions/second) MongoDB engagements.
Mark began his career with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and then founded igeno Consulting in 1999. He has consulted in Canada, the United States and Australia and across a variety of industries including telecom, retail, healthcare, financial services, tourism and hospitality. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (electrical) from the University of Victoria and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario (Ivey).
