Bio
My name is Tomo Watanabe. My 23-year career has been spent on Project Management, Program Management, Scrum Mastering, and Coaching in high tech and financial companies. Currently, I serve as a Sr. Scrum Master and co-host of a Community of Agile Practice at Charles Schwab. Striving to “work myself out of a job” by making the teams truly self-organizing, I lead 3 Agile teams as a servant leader and coach while assisting them in delivering values effectively and improving continuously. At the Community of Agile Practice gatherings and 1-on-1 meetings with Scrum Master colleagues, I share my servant leadership techniques and lead thought-provoking conversations. Since moving to Denver in 2013, I have been an active member of the Agile Denver community as a participant, facilitator, and presenter at its SIG meetings. I am considered to be a great listener and helper by many in and outside my current work.
