I’m Javier Casas, VP of Engineering at Stack Builders. I started working in technology initially in Electronics, but soon enjoyed mixing Electronics and Software. I implemented a few projects in Spain, then jumped to work on the UK for ApplianSys on embedded systems. My last jump has sent me to Ecuador, where I found this weird company focused on Haskell, software quality and advanced Computing Science theory. I have gained a deep understanding on how stuff works under the hood, from Programming Languages to Transistors. But now I’m looking to understand the human factor in all of this. Why do we write software? What purpose fulfils software in society?
