What on earth does sustainability have to do with cloud you ask? I will take you through a journey in the wonderful world of statistics, don’t hang up yet because I promise you that some statistics and trends are interesting.
We will take a look at how the trends of digitalisation have changed over the last ten years. How this in turn affects the power consumption and increase in data infrastructure. How will the infrastructure needs be affected by the emerging trends in big data, IoT and AI? And what happens when the whole world, and not just the rich nations, become digital?
The answer is that if we do not start to pool our resources and infrastructure in a more sustainable manner we will run out of resources sooner than later. The answer is simple go Cloud.
