Berend de Boer was the first Drupal user and programmer in NZ. He has done Drupal since 2004. Frustrated about the common problems encountered when hosting Drupal, he started Xplain Hosting, a Drupal specific hosting company in 2008. Besides shared hosting, he also hosts some of NZ’s largest Drupal sites on bespoke Amazon AWS Cloud configurations. Berend has spoken at various Drupal South conferences. He also maintains various Drupal contrib modules.
