Bio

Michael Carroll is a software engineer for Open Robotics based in Huntsville, Alabama. He recieved his B.S. and M.S in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. Michael is a regular contributor to open-source robotics projects including the Robot Operating System (ROS) and the Gazebo simulator. Michael also serves as the chair for the non-profit Urban Engine, who’s mission is to promote millenial entrepreneurship and help people “propel ideas forward”. When he is not protecting the world from the inevitable robot uprising, he enjoys tending to the garden with his three children, trying out new Huntsville beers, and watching Auburn football.
