Self taught and quasi-competant perl developer since about 1998, presently managing a small engineering department of a non-profit and sadly controversial political activism group out of Arlington, VA through a series of massive overhauls. Attends DC.PM when he can, as well as a local civic hacking group. Devout environmentalist, lefty liberal, and social media loudmouth bent on changing the world, but too tired to do it alone. A couple hundred thousand words deep into writing some sci-fi novels. Always on the cusp of starting some massive new project or another, and always looking for an excuse to do them in perl.
