Elevator Pitch

you drive on the right side of the road. and you want to go left. Do you take 3 right turns or 1 left turn? I will argue that while it seems like taking one left turn is easier faster and simpler, in the long run, you want to avoid left turns as much as possible, and how this applies to DevOps

Description

The left turn is easy for you. So you take it. But you stop oncoming traffic. You cause a cascade effect of other people stopping. Your laziness just made things slightly easier for you, but it made everyone else annoyed. Now scale this up and let many people take a left turn. You get more traffic Jams etc. We have many left turns that we can take or avoid in the way we make and operate systems, Here are a few rules of thumb on choosing which ones to take, and which to avoid.
