Bio

Mr. Weisler has over 15 years of experience working with teams in both consulting and enterprise environments. He has applied his experience in information systems, audit, cybersecurity, cloud security and digital forensics across multiple verticals and organizations ranging from smaller businesses to global corporations. Additionally, Mr. Weisler was a voting member of the International Organization Standardization (ISO) review board for “Cybersecurity” policy standardizations such as GDPR, various NIST security standards, and others. He additionally, contributed/ reviewed CEHv9 training material and courseware before publicly published by EC-Council.

Prior to his current employment at Optiv, Mr. Weisler served as the Senior Security Engineer and Compliance Lead for a cybersecurity firm. He supervised and conducted numerous hands-on incident response and forensics investigations, managed projects and liaised with law enforcement, clients, PCI stakeholders, and legal resources. In his cybersecurity-centric roles, he has conducted malware analysis, network intrusion detection and system attack analysis for a variety of organizations impacted by persistent threats. As a senior security engineer and often times lead information assurance engineer, he lead PCI DSS assessments, performed compliance audits and provided Security Operations Center (SOC) and incident response services to clients.

In his earlier work within information systems and technology and currently in the military, Mr. Weisler has managed and deployed IT services and security technologies that contributed to reliable government operations that met contractual obligations for various real-world and combat operations while saving military lives. Over that last 15 years, Mr. Weisler has been involved with and assisted in the early/ initial development of some cyber capabilities for U.S. Cyber Command while assisting in the development of Information Operations in Cyberspace capabilities. Mr. Weisler’s military service has been in two separate branches of service (Marine Corps and GA National Guard) serving in all three facets of military operations (Tactical, Operational, and Strategical) in two separate wars and other global operations. Mr. Weisler is additionally undergoing a selection process and commissioning as an Army Warrant Officer specializing as a Cyber Operations Technician for the GA Army National Guard and U.S. Army Cyber Command.
