Containerized Application Development Adventures in Azure for a Hardcore Windows Developer

By Alex Mang

Elevator Pitch

As hype as containers may be, they still look like a savage’s techn considering the plethora and ever-growing number of open-source pluggable components that try to fix the missing features. Thus, for a typical .NET and Windows developer, newcomer to containers, containers seem overwhelming.

Description

Docker keeps gaining incredible popularity and given the revolution it started in software architecture, it’s easy to understand why. However, even though containerization used to be a de-facto concept for the Linux world, Windows users weren’t left behind.  Throughout this session I will show you everything I’ve learnt from building my own first physical Kubernetes cluster, and everything I’ve learn in terms of microservices-based applications development, including the overwhelming number of open-source runtimes, frameworks and components. Effectively, you-‘ll learn how cloud-native applications are built. Are you ready to make you apps modern again?
