Where the project ideas come from

By Azeez Adewale

Elevator Pitch

My name is Adewale I have years worth of experience working on open source projects. I was excited to learn about this opportunity to speak at an open-source conference in Nigeria. I’ve always been passionate about sharing my open-source journey with others.

Description

Idea comes first before building, a good idea does not necessarily equate to a good project but it goes a long way in building useful projects that can be used by others or by oneself.

Every day in our work, home or wherever we are there are always problems waiting to be solved. A project does not necessarily need to do something new, but it should allow you to learn new things. A good open-source project idea comes from solving a problem that you experience by yourself.

There are various benefits to this talk: - Where to get a project idea - Knowing the difference between good and bad ideas (There is really no bad ideas) - e.t.c

This talk is suitable especially for people who want to get started on open source and also to veteran code ontributors and maintainers.

Notes

As an active open source enthusiast maintaining a lot of projects, I am always beaming with project ideas sometimes running into IdeaOverflow, I would love to share ideas on building great projects with the audience.
