Bio

This summer for the SciRuby Foundation under Google Summer of Code 2016 program I ported the nmatrix and mixed_model gems to JRuby with interesting performance results. Before GSoC, I had little experience with Ruby. In earlier days I have contributed to Javascript projects, and I have come to love programming in Ruby and still learn new things.

Currently, I am working on bringing High-Performance GPU computation on Ruby( MRI and JRuby) by building ArrayFire gem. ArrayFire is at least 1E5 faster than NMatrix for linear algebra calculations.

I am a final-year student at BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus, Goa, India pursuing a dual degree in M.Sc. in Biological Sciences and B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
