I am the Head of Data Science of PubPlus, http://pubplus.com/ and a faculty member of the computer science department at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
I combine academic research and work in the industry in the fields of statistical modeling, Bayesian data analysis, and decision making under uncertainty. In addition to being an academic researcher, I am a devoted coder, and like to make my own software tools, from small utilities to compilers and programming environment. Due to my recent interest in probabilistic programming, I wrote Anglican, http://anglican.ml/ , in Clojure during my work at the University of Oxford, and then Infergo, http://infergo.org/, in Go, motivated by industry applications.
When not coding, I practice Chinese martial arts, play Armenian duduk, dance, and do other exciting things.
