Bio

Einar Landre has nearly 30 years of software experience. During the last five years he has held the position as head of Statoil’s IT drilling and well services, an organisation unit tasked to provide Statoil Drilling & Well with its IT solutions. Since April 2016 he has held the position as lead analyst within the CIO staff, focusing on digitalisation and the growing need for trustworthy software.

Before joining Statoil 12 years ago Mr. Landre has worked for various IT organisations software developer, architect and leader. His has a special interest in computer controlled systems and how these systems can be used to improve operational efficiency and safety. He holds an MSc degree in Information Technology from University of Strathclyde and he is an IEEE Certified Software Development Professional. He lives with his family in Stavanger, Norway.
