Bio

As a Nashville native, I am dedicated to giving back to my community. Through my work as a youth and tech motivational speaker, I have had the privilege of inspiring and empowering the next generation through partnerships with K-12 schools, colleges/universities, businesses, religious organizations, and community-based groups.

In addition to my work as a speaker, I am actively involved in the tech industry. My journey began when I created a literacy learning platform for my youngest son as a toddler. This led me to attend Nashville Software School and complete a one-year intensive coding bootcamp to become a full-stack software developer.

With a BBA and MBA in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University and over 25 years of combined real estate and finance experience at firms such as UBS, Wells Fargo, State of Tennessee, and Amazon, I bring a wealth of business operations knowledge.

As a result of my passion for both community and tech, I founded a diabetes health tech startup Diabetes Healthcare, Inc. that focuses on helping diabetics manage their overall health. I am a type 1 diabetic as well.

Additionally, I founded SONS (Solving Our Negative Stereotypes), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that introduces youth to coding via workshops and other activities geared towards sparking their interest in careers in technology.

Through my experiences, I have witnessed the power of technology to transform lives and communities. I am committed to leveraging my skills and knowledge to continue making a positive impact in both the tech industry and my community. Let’s GO!!!
