Description
Jakarta EE with MicroProfile on top is the perfect combo for building microservices targeted for public and private clouds and is available on most runtimes out-of-the-box. Negligible “Time to First Commit,” fast startup times including redeployments and seamless integration with Kubernetes and other cloud-native projects like Prometheus or Jaeger are natural.
In this slideless session, I’m going to start with a Jakarta EE microservice from scratch, add configuration, metrics, openapi, fault tolerance, and distributed tracing capabilities with MicroProfile. System tests, multiple deployments, and service to service communication included.
