Bio

I am an experienced Ethical Hacker with 17+ years within the IT industry and 11 years of industry experience within cybersecurity, with an immense professional network and a passion for delivering exceptional performance and strong leadership. I previously had a broad range of responsibilities, including being a Linux Sysadmin and extensive SOC work. Eventually, I began leading Incident Investigations, Remediation & Response Efforts, General Security Program Management, Vulnerability Management, 3rd Party Vendor Management, and collaborating on Business Contract reviews for Cybersecurity-related matters. I currently audit with various Compliance standards such as ISO, SOC, GDPR; I also have general experience managing Cybersecurity Risk, which significantly contributes toward Cybersecurity Risk Management Strategies & Programs, and have had previous experience with Cloud Security & Product IoT security-related advanced specializations. My current goals are to elevate my career and become a CISO to provide strategic guidance to businesses on all cybersecurity-related issues and to develop practical experience with AI security-related solutions to protect businesses from emerging threats.

In addition, I have consistently demonstrated 360 service leadership throughout college and my professional career by giving back to the Cybersecurity Community of Greater Atlanta through a decade of volunteering, event coordination, lecturing, and other activities. I have also founded various student organizations related to cybersecurity career upskilling, as well as worked with other established tech organizations such as DefCon, EFF, OWASP, etc.

My latest project is founding BlackHack Society, Home for Ethical Hackers, whose mission is to raise a New Generation of Ethical Hackers from diverse cultural backgrounds. BlackHack Society offers a Cybersecurity Academy for new graduates, career transfers, and veteran professionals; a non-profit Community to encourage upskilling and networking amongst professionals within and outside of IT, and Consulting Service referrals to Small and Medium-Sized Startups. BlackHack Society currently maintains a membership of over 1400 members based on the East Coast of the USA and is a proud member of the Black Tech Ecosystem of Atlanta, and boasts a massive business network across multiple disciplines, both within and outside of cybersecurity.
