Istio ⛵️is here to tackle those issues and can do even more!
We will see how Istio on GKE on Google Cloud Platform can help us manage our applications. If you’re not scared by traffic mirroring, canary release, traffic splitting, you will see how easy it can be to do this in production! Moreover, we will be doing some #ChaosEngineering by injecting some errors into our system 💥.
We will leverage all the tooling available on Google Cloud Platform to monitor the performance of our app. This will help us to analyze the root causes of some distributed bugs.

This workshop is originally a training we do at Stack Labs for our clients. We like to share this kind of experience and knowledge during conferences ❤️. This one is already planned in SnowCamp.io 2020 and TouraineTech 2020 (two french events).
We are working with Google (especially @alexismp) to provide this training without the need of a credit card for attendees, which is cool 🤩.
The requirements for the attendees is to have at least a Google Account and a computer with a browser (from Chromebook to standard laptop). All can be done from the cloud-shell 🎉.
