Bio
Hans Ospina (@hansospina) is a Senior Software Engineer in a wide variety of fields including Business Applications and Big Data projects. He’s always interested in integration projects, software design, and cloud related architectures. He has strong background in the Java Enterprise world (more than 15 years). During that time ha has achieved certifications as Certified Java Programmer, multiple ECM/BPM related from IBM and the more recent one being DataStax Certified Professional on Apache Cassandra.
He has been involved in numerous web, mobile, and cloud native projects. Currently, he is focused upon Big Data Engineering, with projects spanning multiple countries and clients in various sectors, e.g. banking, government, insurance/financial services, and retail. During the past 1.5 years he’s been focused upon building real-time data processing applications using distributed systems/components such as Apache Cassandra, Apache Spark, Amazon Kinesis, and others.
He’s a big fan of applying nature patterns into algorithms, watching horror movies and looking for the best coffee cup.
