Bio

Ilona is a highly experienced Technical Writer and Accessibility professional. A University of Pennsylvania graduate, she have pioneered and driven the highest standards for accuracy and inclusivity in technical documentation. A popular speaker, she have spoken about accessibility for documentation and developer portals at a number of conferences around the world. She also speaks and writes about the need for equity in the workplace and serve as an adviser to people working on inclusivity and accessibility. She is a professional mentor, interest group facilitator, and cultural mentor for the TechWomen program and past Co-Chair of the TechWomen Alumnae Council. She is also a leader of APIDays’ Women in APIs initiative and the founder of their /GET Writing program. Plus, she deeply loves animals and is an advocate for rescue, adoption, and positive-reinforcement training.
