Andrejs Vorobjovs is a Senior Database Administrator in Worldline European leader in the payments and transactional services industry. Before starting at Wordline, Andrejs worked as a Database Administrator in First Data Corporation (NYSE: FDC) building heterogeneous databases and applications, disaster recovery solutions mostly for financial customers. Andrejs spends a great deal of time working with the Oracle database and, more specifically, working with people who are working with the Oracle database. In addition, Andrejs is Latvian Oracle User Group president and the experienced organizer behind the Riga Dev Days conference. Today educating people on conferences and meetups Andrejs sees the challenges faced by Architects, Developers and Database Administrators to achieve excellent performance in an environment of fast changing technologies, business practices and continuous cost cutting and resource limitations. Andrejs is also the author of a blog for Database Architecture. Blog is about education and the general use of the database and how to develop successful Oracle applications
