Elevator Pitch
Imagine a world where you can build powerful JS/TS front-ends with less effort and boilerplate, without sacrificing functionality compared to your current framework. That world is Svelte, and it’s about to make you fall in love with front-end all over again.
Description
Over the past years, Svelte has been topping the front-end developer interest and retention charts of every reputable surveyor, leaving the competitors like Angular, React and Vue in the dust. My only question is: why aren’t you using it yet?
In this talk I’ll dive into all aspect of using Svelte: why it’s fast, small, quick to learn and even why it’s better for the environment. All this is backed by code comparisons between the frameworks and reproducible examples. Even the common reasons to not use Svelte are debunked.
I’m sure that once you’ve heard the talk, you’ll be eager to give Svelte a try yourself and probably fall in love with front-end all over again.
Notes
Important note: This talk is aimed at non-Svelte developers. If the audience is mostly Svelte developers, this talk probably is not interesting.
I’ve been using Svelte for production applications since 2018 and have never found anything close like it after anymore. I’ve encountered all the ins and outs of Svelte and am still absolutely lyrical about it. Eversince I’ve been talking and representing Svelte I’ve inspired more and more people to try it out, so I know my content is inspiring. Since the community of Svelte isn’t as big as the “big 3 frameworks” Svelte needs representers like me to make the community bigger and the framework more widely known and used.
I just need a screen to present my slides and code on. Everything else is extra.
